In order to take into account both the upcoming winter/holiday season and the disturbing effects of global warming...My Snow Man Melted! rose as the perfect theme for a literature contest.

The Theme: My Snow Man Melted!
What is there to write about a snow man melting?! What isn't there to write! Entries can range from;
A winter holiday gone bad.
A winter love falling apart or coming together and then falling apart.
Spending a winter holiday in the hot sun.
Anything that involves a snow man and the silly emotions felt when it melts.
Anything pertaining to winter and/or global warming in general (if you wish to stick to a general theme, be aware that the judges will be excepting something really thought out and well developed.
Kudos to those that incorporate any/all of the following words; Frost, nipping, arctic, frigid and of course SNOW MAN!

Judging
The poems will be judged on originality, creativity, use of imagery, plot (for prose) and literary technique.
The less cliques, the better. We are looking for literature that is fresh , intriguing and new!
There will be a total of four judges including myself. Each poem will be read thoroughly and appropriate winners will be chosen.

How To Enter / Rules:
Poetry, prose or visual poetry will be accepted. Nothing else.
Note: When submitting a visual poem, please list the stocks that were use and give proper credit.
You may submit up to two works.
There will be four winners for the entire contest including honorable mentions.
Your submitted pieces must be new (they must be written for this contest).
You MUST list the contest name in your deviation description and link back to the official contest journal [link] Send entries by note to me with a link and put 'My Snow Man Melted Contest' in the subject line.

***THE CONTEST RUNS FROM 11/18/09-12/31/09. Please do not submit any entries until November 18th.
