`GeneratingHype on letters, editing and GDship

^lovetodeviate:iconlovetodeviate: reports, August 30
An interview with ex-GD, writer, editor, fascinating person: `GeneratingHype. Here are some tidbits from the interview (which I recommend reading in full):

"Letters presuppose a sort of authenticity, and I truly believe that a story—no matter the form—needs to be authentic and believable.

"Sometimes I wish I had stories such as "I wrote my first published poem at three and a half!" or "I started writing stories at two!", but writing never came easy for me and is still not very easy for me.

Learn about poetic forms in a group

~alenia:iconalenia: reports, May 22, 2003
Tired of feeling like the only deviant who writes formed poetry? Want to learn more about poetic forms? ~poetic-forms is here to help!

It all started when ~alenia grew tired of not having anyone to discuss her growing interest in poetic forms with. Then she decided that perhaps it would be a lot more fun and interesting if a group of deviants could explore them together.

The community will chose a poetic form per month to write about and hold discussions to learn about different poetic forms, the usage of rhyme and meter, and other nuances a writer can explore in the writing of poetry. Contact ~alenia for more information.

Cool! Now all you poets will get off my back for not posting enough poetry in the Fortnight Spotlight! Lol! I'm totally kidding. I really do hope this takes off. Maybe announce it in the writers forum as well? Good luck!
