In this article you will find interviews with some of our club members and also some of their art featured, so please take the time to read what they have to say and check out their galleries.
Gangs in the United States are not a new or recent phenomenon. Their history has been traced back to the post Revolutionary War days and originally they formed as a means of self-protection and as social clubs.

{fire} magazine has released their 4th issue - 04 Article23. On 1 July, 500,000 of people have taken to the streets of Hong Kong to protest against a new anti-subversion law, Article 23. In this issue of {fire}, we used our cameras to record the event. If you were there, you will recall the heat. If you weren't there, you will feel the energy of the protesters.
It was the biggest rally in Hong Kong since protests against Beijing's Tiananmen Square killings in 1989.
In this issue of {fire}, we used our cameras to record the event. This march will undoubtly become an important part of the history of Hong Kong. If you were there, you will recall the heat. If you weren't there, you will feel the energy of the protesters. They gave up their holiday time and joined the march because they desire freedom and more importantly, they love Hong Kong.
It's quite surprising that many of my foreign friends didn't know the Article 23 issue. I hope this issue of {fire} can spread our voices to the rest of the world, let them know that we are facing a threat to our freedom.
this issue rocks. you've done a real great job of photographic journalism, plus giving basic information about the topic, for those who do not know a lot about politics in HK. as you said, it's sad that few people know about it. i know a lot about tung chee wa and the way that politics is conducted in HK, but since i am no longer living in HK, i rarely get an update. i was just lucky enough to read a short article in german about the mentioned article 23 - on 1st july, the day of the rally. so i am certainly happy to see this issue of your fire magazine and get to know more on this way.
i'm glad you were there, supported the cause and captured the scenery. the outcome is really great, those who don't have a look are certainly missing a visual and journalistic masterpiece documentation about an event of historical dimensions.
