The 2008 Bolt Award

lolly:iconlolly: reports, August 6
This year, the Second Annual recipient of the illustrious Bolt Award is someone who, like its namesake has somehow magically been a part of deviantART since before there even was a deviantART. Pretty fantastic trick to pull off wouldn't you say? This person is someone some of you may be familiar with in recent months, promoting devWear, running the Holiday Card Project, campaigning to keep her favorite TV shows on the air and many other things. And the award goes to...

Toronto Winter Devmeet '03

*toronto:icontoronto: reports, December 15, 2003
Toronto Devmeet Winter '03

*seraphim-hastur and I, ~tasteslikebrning are organising the next Toronto Devmeet. The votes are in and I am confirming here that Saturday the 20th is the official date for the devmeet.

We'll meet, 4:00 at St. Patrick station (at the Turnstyles, where you usually pay fare). You can recognise me because I will be a shortish girl with red/fushia bangs with a sign that says " Toronto Deviant Meet '03". I'll wait for everyone to arrive until about 4:30. If you hit traffic and don't make it until after 4:30, feel free to catch up to us at the AGO.

We'll have one hour to walk three blocks west to the AGO and critique the art before the 5:30 closing. Unfortunately we aren't able to get group rates because I'd have to book that three weeks in advance, that's a product of my inexperience with planning so I apologise.

At 5:30 we'll tromp back through the snow to St. Patrick Station and take the subway to Queen Station, and walk west to Nathan Phillips Square. I haven't been able to get a price quote on the internet for skate rentals, but it should be about $8 (based on the rental price at the Harbourfront Centre) or $5 each if we qualify for group status. There are always plenty of Coffee Shops nearby to grab a really great hot beverage so we don't freeze too much.

I hope to see all of you there!

Summary
Date of meet: Dec 20th
Total cost: approx. $22
Time: 4pm to 8pm

Morgan
