*TheFavoritesProject:iconTheFavoritesProject: reports, July 13
We've featured 65 poems since we opened our satellite account in 2007! Another one of the poems we featured received a DD before we had a chance to post it, so we posted two features this week. View the most recent feature here, as well a list of all the previous poems featured by TFP. If you like what you see, than devwatch the account because we feature a new one every week! Writers Adoption Centre v2

`darkcrescendo:icondarkcrescendo: reports, December 21, 2003
Due to logistical problems, the Writers Adoption Centre has had to re-locate. You can now find us here: ~writers-adoption.

The idea is to give less-experienced writers the opportunity to be helped by a more experienced/skilled writer.

The goal is improvement of the writing craft.

All of the main details can be found through the link, but I will give a brief summary here:

System:

If you are willing to adopt another writer, please either send me [~darkcrescendo or ~writers-adoption] a note, or post a comment on the journal entry at ~writers-adoption with the following info:

- Preferred style of writing (if any).
- Preferred genre of writing (If any).
- What you think you can best help an aspiring writer with.
- Any other information you feel is relevant.

Those wanting to be adopted, please examine the adopter's writings, and decide if they are what you are looking for.

Then, if you find an adopter who you wish to be adopted by, send them a note with 'Adoption Request' or something similar, in the title.

My thanks to all who have shown their support for this!!

So please feel free to take a look, and at least entertain the idea of participation.

Benedictions.

~writers-adoption

Hopefully this will help cure the teeny bopper goth-poem blow out sale that DA has been having for a while now...

Now to go adopt and feed someone my literary opinions. :D

this sounds like a great idea. it would be nice if we could extend this to include other forms of art on da as well. im sure many visual artists could also benefit from being 'adopted' by a much more experienced artist.
