10 ways to Express Art – Part V

=Derzorvadur:iconDerzorvadur: reports, 23h 28m ago
The project started as a mean to collect amazing artists all around deviant in a random way or as well for already personal recognition of the same, this is ONLY for the sake of art, no favoritism or popularity has anything to do with this, only REAL good art will enter in these articles, and the art exposed in here is what we personally consider the best of the best.

The Best of September Visual Art!

`karemelancholia:iconkaremelancholia: reports, 2d 22h ago
Now it's time for September 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!

Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it!
Fave Fave Fave!
My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations.
Artists need to be supported.
So don't be shy!

Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not.
Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough ;-)

And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month, send me via note the links/thumbs!

:pointr: You can see the previous features here, in the Index i've created!

ATI Workstation Graphics Trade-In

=djmirage:icondjmirage: reports, December 30, 2003
ATI Technologies Inc. today introduced a graphics accelerator upgrade program for workstation customers in North America and Europe. Recognizing that engineers, designers and animators need the best equipment, including high performance graph
ics accelerators, to meet their demanding deadlines, ATI is offering an instant rebate to customers trading-in older workstation graphics products from ATI or its competitors. The rebate, which ranges from $40 to $85 per board, may be applied to the purchase of one of ATI's current lineup of best-in-class FireGL workstation graphics accelerators.

"For existing FireGL customers, this is a rebate to recognize their loyalty to the brand,"said Drew Singh, Director of Workstation Sales, ATI Technologies Inc.. "For customers that are new to the FireGL products, this is an added incentive to trade-in their older graphics product from another company and experience the power and increased productivity of a FireGL graphics accelerator from ATI."

Customers participating in the upgrade program can choose to apply their instant rebate to the FireGL T2-128, the FireGL Z1-128 or the FireGL X1-128. Each of these products has been certified for use with the leading DCC and CAD applications and ship with a unified driver that supports the entire range of FireGL accelerators. Customers can also access ATI's dedicated FireGL support team to identify features and benefits of the FireGL products that can increase productivity and to resolve technical issues quickly.

Details on the rebate amounts and eligible products are available at ati.com/FireGL.

For media or industry analyst support, visit our Web site at ATI Technologies Inc.

Why isn't the FireGL X2 included in the rebate thing, I wonder? Hell, at $800 you would think they could cut some slack. :|

...why? the cards are aimed at people creating high end art - many of whom frequent this site. its not an ad; it doesnt try to recruit anyone. its more of a public service announcement. settle down.

Last time I looked, posting news about your products and trying to sell them via this way was called "advertisement". " Give us your old one and we'll give you a new one for less!" Seen that campaign plenty of times. Now while I don't think that this was ~djmirage's intention, it's still an ad, and you can twist it like you want and give it different names and whatnot, at the end it's still an ad.
