Daily Literature Deviations for December 27, 2009

=DailyLitDeviations:iconDailyLitDeviations: reports, 9h 58m ago
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you :+fav: the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Project Comment: 0-5 Comments // Issue 49

=pullingcandy:iconpullingcandy: reports, 21h 9m ago
#ProjectComment is a project that features the generally obscured and underappreciated artists and their art in regular news articles. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.

The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art. Please give your time to :+favlove: this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here.

How to use PayPal without a CreditCard

~LadyEowyn:iconLadyEowyn: reports, January 13, 2004
How to use PayPal without a CreditCard.

There are two ways to use PayPal without a CreditCard needed.
This depends on whether you live in the US or not.
I am going to assume that you have already set up an account and filled in the required information like which country you live in.

First
Make sure that you are looking at the Overview page of your account.
Here you will see some info like Name, Email and Status.
My status says Dutch - Unverified, when I click this link I get a bunch of info why I would want to get Verified, you can ignore this and just stay unverified.
In the top of the left column it says Activate Account and under that it says Add credit card, you can also ignore this.
Now, next to the tab for Overview, there is a button called Add Funds, you need to click this button.
Now there are two options for you:

When you live in the US.
When you have a bank account in the US you need to click Transfer Funds From a U.S. Bank Account.
This will take you to a page that asks you to fill in the required information needed to transfer money from that bank account into your PayPal account.
Now since I do not have a US bank account I cannot help you through the process from here on.

When you live in a non-US country.
Note: Since I am Dutch I am going to use this as an example, of course were it says "Dutch" or "Netherlands" I mean any non-US country.
When you live in a non-US country you need to click Transfer Funds From a Dutch Bank Account.
This will take you to a page with instructions.
Now the most important info is this:

Name on Account: PayPal Inc
PayPal's Account Number: XXXXXXXXX
Bank: Bank of America, N.A. Amsterdam, Netherlands

And next to that info, in the box:

Your Bank Transfer ID
XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Now what you need to do is go to your bank (or log into your bank online, if your bank provides that option) and transfer money to PayPal's Account Number.
The most important part is to send Your Bank Transfer ID with the transfer, because this ID points to your PayPal account.

This it it!
You now have to wait 3-4 days before the money is in your PayPal account and then you can pay online.
If you make sure that you are logged into your PayPal account before clicking Subscribe here at DA, you will never see any screen saying anything about a CreditCard.

This is a great help. Hmmm, now if I go back home, to Croatia, I'll first creat a bank account, put some money to it and then create a PayPal account. Will send money to my PayPal account, create a print account (and subscribe to DA for some longer time), sell my art get the money to PayPal transfer it to my account and . . . . Yes, gonna have money :D :D :D

I am great - don't you think so?
:iconjokla:
Oooooh right, right, I knew that, I knew that. There is no Croatia field in PayPal account setup option. Right, I'm f....d. I'm living at the end of the world, sux :rage: so now I can see how others earn money over the web. Right.

Damn. This would have come in handy last week before I sent my subscription payment via snail mail.

I'm definately getting impatient.

This is a great article. Perhaps this should be included somewhere in the FAQ or unofficial FAQ for those who (will) miss this posting of it.

paypal transfered money to my account when I linked my bank to it.
:iconjyrik:
I only have option "Transfer Funds from a Bank Account" and it just takes to "Add a U.S. Bank Account" page.
And I *dont* live in US.
