Style XP 2.0 Final

`kronix:iconkronix: reports, January 23, 2004
Style XP 2.0 is an application which uses Microsoft's built-in visual style engine to increase Window's visuals, giving you the capability to transform Windows from the somewhat limited Luna theme to something much more appealing. The latest version of TGT Soft's application includes support for boot screens, icon sets and numerous stability and performance enhancements.

Style XP is not a skinning engine. It uses Microsoft's built-in visual style engine, but enhances it by providing many useful tools. Style XP can import, select, rotate, and manage themes, visual styles, wallpapers, and logons. Future versions may support sounds, cursors, screensavers, and packages of all the above. How does it work? Instead of lines and gradients, the XP user interface natively supports the use of skinned bitmap controls (a visual style). This is Microsoft's own innovation. Style XP includes its own visual styles.

:bulletgreen: What's new?
Style XP 2.0 contains significant bug fixes on the Style XP 1.0 core. Now supported are boot screens, icon sets, and taskbar transparency. You are also given the opportunity to customise your icon sets. Several key enhancements have been made with regards to new operating systems and the forthcoming Windows XP Service Pack 2. The developers have also released two packs, dubbed Men and Ladies. They supposedly have "male" and "female" skins respectively. However you can download both packs if you want both sets of skins.

:bulletgreen: Features
:pointr: Zero-Footprint Operation: Choose to have Style XP run in the system tray for easy management and selection of new styles, or turn Style XP off while the system is still skinned.
:pointr: Native: Style XP skins use the same Visual Style Source that is built into XP.
:pointr: New resources: Try out our new "CoughDrop" visual style and color schemes. "Toothpaste" and a community skin pack are also included.
:pointr: Accessibility & High-Res Functionality: StyleBuilder is designed to build skins which support higher DPI resolutions so that window controls are easier to see.
:pointr: Application Compatibility: Our native design allows us to enjoy the thousands of hours of work put in by Microsoft's UI team.
:pointr: Font Sizes: Like the original Microsoft Blue, Olive Green, and Silver Visual Styles, StyleBuilder & Style XP skins support the three standard font sizes.
:pointr: Easy Installation: The new Style XP install takes minutes to download and seconds to install.

If you have purchased Style XP 1.0, there is a high likelihood you are eligible for a free Style XP 2.0 registration key, depending on when you purchased the software. Make sure you check on tgtsoft.com.

i just d.loaded it and it is damn stunning! I recomend it to everyone!
(make sure 3dsmax isnt open when installing it, it doesnt like it)
my fav. theme so far is 521-Advanced4-2, but i am checking for more to d.laod at ThemeXP
This program doesnt slow down your speed if you are on a bad
processor like me ( 550 mhz ) even the Transperant menu doesnt
slow it down too much because you can control the amount it gives.
Nice and easy program layout, easy press-button theme changes, and the
whole thing is fully customizeable! Enjoy all you people who d.load it :D

hmm.. thats odd..
every option worked for me, i did a test on everything.
I did get the Blue Screen Of Death though when changing my desktop image..
but thats only because my computer hard-drive has too many bad sectors :pissed::stab:
Try it out again, re-install it, or just try a different icons theme.

It changed my system icons and disrupted the system icon catch. I tried the undo feature but it wouldn't work even after rebooting.
