You might even be one hell of a profesional, but if you don't SHOW it and PROVE it, how will everyone know? These facts are important not only when you are looking for a job, but in any situation when you wish to showcase your work. I decided to share a few guidelines that might help you give the best of yourself and help you be a better profesional.

The Yellow Deviants

*AngeL-FaLL:iconAngeL-FaLL: reports, July 15
Hope and Happiness: Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit.

Former Apple Design Guru Speaks About Design

~dear-jb:icondear-jb: reports, March 12, 2004
Don Norman (former Apple fellow) speaks to The Guardian Newspaper about design. Don Norman changed the way a generation of designers saw the world. Previously famous as 'Nasty Norman' who told you why a product was bad. He's now become 'Nice Norman' who smiles and tells you how great everything is.

His ground breaking book 'The Design of Everyday Things' ( 1988 ) was a paean to useability. The sequel Emotional Design (2004) is based on the idea that there are three levels at play in design: visceral (what something looks like); behavioural (how it works); reflective (what it means to you). He also talks with humour about the impact his previous work has forever changed the world of door knobs.

Excellent article, thank you for the links! Most people use things without even giving thought as to who designed them or how the process was done. Norman's books are terrific, too :)

The way we see the world, both in design and in real life, has the Andy Warhol's signature. Don Norman, in a certain way is "the good classmate" who cleaned Warhol's ideas up, and presents it to the Already New World. Thank for the article.
