Recently there's been a lot of misuse of preview images of user submissions. Please keep in mind that the preview image should depict the content of the submission: either a crop of the image, or simply a resized version of the full-sized image. Preview images that
don't reflect the content (i.e. "Click for Full View!" ) of the submission may end up removed.
The only items that require a preview image are:

Non-image files (i.e. .zip, .rar, etc...)

GIF files (animated or static) over 100x100
All other submissions have thumbnails automatically generated, so there is no need to submit a preview image.

The moment you start believing you are better than anyone else you are no longer yourself.

Check out my band Tempus
I really do have to issue SVs for something as silly as inappropriate preview images but, heh, you know .. it's rather annoying and, at the same time, misleading others.
Good write-up.
