Man Ray Exhibition, Brisbane, Australia

Man Ray (1890–1976) was an experimental photographer, film-maker and painter. He was the founding member of the dada movement and a key figure in the surrealist movement.

His most famous works are his stunning black and white photographic portraits taken in Paris and Hollywood.

This exhibition features around 200 works including a small amount of unpublished work.

Get along and see it before 18 July at the Queensland Art Gallery. Attendance is free.

I went to see this show just recently, and I can certaintly say it's a wonderful exhibit to see, especially for young aspiring photographers wanting to get into the types of solarisiation and silver-gelitin photography :)

Yeah I saw that at the Art Gallery of NSW...and it was fairly good...some very very good experimental stuff for its time certainly :)

I also saw it at the Art Gallery of NSW. Some very interesting work ie. Rayographs.

:lol: You and me both mate, you and me both. The school took us as part of the senior Art curriculum, and I must say the brilliance of his work was amazing.


It's a shame you didn't get to come see it bro, it's a bloody good show :nod:

I went to see Many Ray at the NSW Art gallery, waas an interesting exhibition, deff. worth checkin gout!
