Summer is fast approaching, and with it, so is Winnipeg, Manitoba's, Ai-Kon! The biggest Anime Covention in Manitoba. Hosted at the Sheraton Hotel, downtown, out on 161 Donald Street.

Pre-registration will continue to be open until July 1st, 2004. The entry fees are as follows:

Weekend pass $25.00
Friday only $10.00
Saturday only $15.00
Sunday only $10.00


Pre- registry will be $20.00. You can pick up an application form by any authorized Ai-Kon agent including IrBen Entertainment and JAAW. The $20 dollar passes can get you into the convention throughout the Friday to Sunday.

Registration for the Artists Fair, however, is already closed.

Ai-Kon is still accepting volunteers. Volunteers must attend at least one volunteer meeting and be 16 years of age. Previous experience is great, but not required. Volunteers who work eight hours during the convention will be re-imbursed their entry fee.

Last years Ai-Kon was a blast! Complete with a chinese dragon parade and a martial arts demonstration. It's unsure if this years Ai-kon will still have Cosplay, but it would be on the safe side to prepare anyways. There will be various events held here, including last years Video gaming room and a dance. Be sure to bring your glowsticks!
