reports, June 17, 2004The pixel is celebrating his 50th birthday! For this reason the members of the pixelgala organisation decided to commemorate this event in a new way.
On the website PixelGala.org, an area was created and called timeline that awaits your input from now on.
Note that your submission has to be in pixelart style. The
members of the pixelgala organisation are the only judges for the validation of the submissions.
The concept of the timeline is to present the last 50 years
(from 1954 - birth of pixel) till today. They need your work to complete this timeline with an important event of the selected year.
The deadline is Sunday 28th November 2004 12pm GMT.
What happens with your work?
Your work will remain on the site and is your property. If the event is successful, we will print out a book for the anniversary including your works.

So basically you're looking for pixel artists to create a piece that represents a year, such as the World Trade Center attack piece for 2001. Interesting concept. So far I like what has been submitted.
I hope you get enough quality work to publish the book you mentioned on the site. I'd love to see a book full of pixel art. If I get a chance, I might sit down and create my own little piece of work for you.
