moho 4.6

=6665:icon6665: reports, August 29, 2004
Moho is a 2D vector-based cartoon animation application. It is not an ink & paint tool that requires you to draw and scan each frame of your animation - Moho provides the complete set of tools you need to create an animated cartoon, from drawing and coloring to keyframe animation, multi-layer compositing and final rendering of QuickTime and AVI movie files. Moho can be used to create animation for video, film, or streaming over the web.

Moho contains a vector-based drawing component, making it suitable for illustration tasks as well. The animation tools include manipulators for controlling skeletons - useful for working with characters, and a huge timesaver compared to traditional hand-drawn animation. Moho works with text the same as any other primitive object, making it useful for simple video titling up through any complex text deformation you can dream up.
Sample movies, screen shots and more are available at Lostmarble website.

When you purchase the full version of Moho, you will be emailed a registration code that will let you unlock the restrictions of the demo version. You are also entitled to technical support from Lost Marble and free or discounted access to future updates. Moho is currently available for $99 and includes access to the Windows, Mac OS, and Linux versions.

Alot of its functions come from various programs out there. The bone system looks just like 3D Studio Max's, the color system is just like Photoshop, etc. I would rather use flash than this ><

Yeah, but it doesnt have the ability to make other files that allow user interaction. If I make a cartoon on the computer for the net I want to make a preloader, buttons for the user to press that take him to the movie, the different segments, credits, etc. AVI and Quicktime files do not allow that and the program most likely does not support these functions. You can drag the file into Flash later, but that would be a hassle if the movie is 100 megs, 2000 frames. Importing it would take forever, even on fast computers. Flash may not have a bone system but the parts of the body and be seperated into different symbols/graphics to its almost like a bone system.

Just my 2 cents...err..1 dollar.

yeah that s right, you cant use scripting in moho on the otherhand flash traces images so animations re not like 100megs.

i've been using mainly Toon Boom Studio for cartooning, i'd rather draw my own movements, but i'll try this one, as it looks like it can be a really time saver for a quick job, with all that bones system.

an awesome looking program. i think it looks more promising than flash....especially for a more professional cartoon making application. if i was producing cartoons, i might look into this program.
