Help Tsunami Victims

°jark:iconjark: reports, December 29, 2004
Our hearts bleed out to those who were devastated by the tsunamis in the Indian Ocean. Read on to find out how you can help survivors and their families by making monetary donations to charity organizations.

The recent disaster thanks to the 9.0 magnitude earthquake near India has killed over 80,000 people and displaced even more. These people severely need your help. If you have some money to spare, even a simple $1.00, then consider donating to any of the following organizations:

:pointr: American Red Cross International Response Fund
:pointr: AmeriCares South Asia Earthquake Relief Fund
:pointr: Direct Relief International International Assistance Fund
:pointr: Médecins Sans Frontières International Tsunami Emergency Appeal
:pointr: Oxfam Asian Earthquake & Tsunami Fund
:pointr: Sarvodaya Relief Fund for Tsunami Tragedy
:pointr: UNICEF South Asia Tsunami Relief Efforts

SupportAsia, a community effort to help those affected by this horrible disaster, has also been launched. SupportAsia endeavors to collect donations and send them to a variety of charity organizations helping calm the chaos.

We at deviantART are saddened by the many losses the world has seen because of this terribly violent earthquake. Please consider helping your brothers and sisters with a small donation to any of the aforemention organizations. Doing so will make a different that most of us will never be able to fathom.
