Daily Literature Deviations - July 18, 2009

*DailyLitDeviations:iconDailyLitDeviations: reports, 12h 23m ago
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you :+fav: the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Graphic Junkies Contest 2005: Rhythm

~shelly:iconshelly: reports, January 15, 2005
Buoyed by the success of last year's contest, the Graphic Junkies website has recently announced the theme for their second annual contest: Rhythm.

Any medium and style of art is welcomed--digital, traditional, vector, 3d, abstract...anything goes! Files should be no larger than 1600x1200 at 72 DPI in either JPG or GIF format. They also ask for a brief description of your entry; only a couple of sentences should suffice.

The contest will end on May 29, 2005 at midnight Eastern Time. The winner will receive the book New Masters of Photoshop II which features work from eleven top digital artists, as well as a prints account from deviantART.

Hmm.... this looks sort of difficult as far as gauging what people would want. I can't seem to find examples of what types of things they're looking for. Or perhaps that's the point and they want to keep this as broad as possible?

So did you hear the one about the dyslexic empiricist insomniac who stayed up all night proving that there really is a dog?
