Mozilla Sunbird 0.2 Released

=braidy:iconbraidy: reports, February 5, 2005
Mozilla Sunbird is the standalone version of Mozilla Calendar, an extension to Mozilla Suite, Firefox, and Thunderbird. Sunbird is designed for those who are using Firefox and Thunderbird, but need a standalone calendar application to complete their needs, rather than an add-on that depends on another program.

It features a 'Tasks' panel, with priority levels that can be set for each task, as well as checkboxes to indicate completion of tasks. There are 4 different calendar views, being 'Day View', 'Week View', Multiweek', and Month View', event categories which are customizable, multi-calendar support, and many more features. The program is also available to anyone to construct new builds of Sunbird.

i've tried this a couple months ago, and i must say i liked it
i didn't use any fancy stuff, only as a slightly more advanced version of rainlendar
and it's very effective as a digital copy of my agenda

i definitely suggest those looking for a rainlendar replacement to try this
however, i don't know about people with more advanced needs
this is of course still the equivalent of a toddler, so try with caution

Ya

Version 0.2 may be quite instable, but i'll try. Mozilla Software's always cool

I think this come in handy! If it like it i'll keep it so I don't miss appointments. One for use in the home and at work, methinks.

Excellent! I've found Sunbird 0.1 to be invaluable, even more so than Mozilla itself, so will be havin' this for sure!

I won't be bothering with Sunbird much until it's more on level with Outlook (assuming they're aiming for that eventually), but if this program turns out anywhere as good as Firefox, then I can't wait to see it completed.
~moloko:iconmoloko: Feb 6, 2005, 7:11:17 AM
For the pc this is great. I really do not like using Outlook or OE. sunbird is great for this. On my mac I will stick with Ical. It is near perfect for me.

I do like the proirity levels you can set.
