Paint.NET 2.1 - New Milestone Reached!

"Paint.NET is an image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows XP or 2000. Paint.NET is jointly developed at Washington State University with additional help from Microsoft, and is meant to be a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with all Windows operating systems."

As of March 1st, a new version of the program has been put on the web, increasing the Operation speed and adding many new features to the already large repertoire that rivals many Commercial programs. This includes layers and customisable brushes.

The program is completely free, and the Source code is also provided for you to edit and compile the program yourself.

"In the spirit of all this freedom, we welcome any suggestions, as well as provide the source code free of charge for anyone who wishes to tinker with it."

The program can be downloaded from it's Website. However, the program does require The Microsoft .NET Framework, which can be downloaded along with the program from the Downloads Page, it's own website, or Windows Update.
