Microsoft throws open doors for 2005 student innovation award
The competition is open to all students worldwide who are enrolled at an accredited educational establishment. This year a number of 'high school or secondary schoolonly' categories are available and are restricted to students aged 14 and under 18 years of age.
Staking its place in the digital creative competition space for the third year running, Microsofts Imagine Cup student competition, which recognises and rewards innovation in a number of technology-connected areas, is under way once again.
Expanded this year to include a broader range of categories, the Imagine Cup features web design, visual gaming, 3D rendering and short film categories all exploring the theme of disolving the boundaries between us.
Winners of last years short film competition were three students from Romania with a short animated piece following the human race from the dawn of civilization to the modern day and beyond.
With total prize money of up $215,000 up for grabs and global finals scheduled for Japan in July, entries are currently being accepted on-line at
