The 2008 Bolt Award

lolly:iconlolly: reports, August 6
This year, the Second Annual recipient of the illustrious Bolt Award is someone who, like its namesake has somehow magically been a part of deviantART since before there even was a deviantART. Pretty fantastic trick to pull off wouldn't you say? This person is someone some of you may be familiar with in recent months, promoting devWear, running the Holiday Card Project, campaigning to keep her favorite TV shows on the air and many other things. And the award goes to...

deviantART Clothing Contest Finalists Announced

°dygel:icondygel: reports, March 9, 2005
Ah, the announcement you've been waiting for... almost! ;) Oh, this isn't another clever delay notice. No, last Wednesday we simply weren't ready yet, but that's not the case this week.

The winners of the the deviantART Clothing Contest have indeed been picked, but we can't tell you who they are quite yet! Since part of the nature of the contest is that the winners are offered the opportunity to enter into a business arrangement with us and have the shirts printed, now we need to talk business with those winners. Once everyone's confirmed and everything is settled to everyone's satisfaction, then we will tell you exactly which designs will be the first to have deviantART tags sewn inside them.

For the time being, all I can show you are the 65 designs which are the finalists of the contest (listing below ordered by deviation ID). The winners we've picked are among these awesome designs. So talk amongst yourselves while we get to work with the mystery winners. Who do you think the winners are?

I like: "Hot Air Balloons", "Lifetime - contest entry", and "Revolt Of the Plush Tshirt".

there isn't any chance of these shirts being for sale from within canada?
a lot of people in other countries (like canada) don't like buying online from other countries because shipping and customs adds a lot of the price... there's probably a lot of business to be had in canada too. just a suggestion.

these designs aren't half bad :) i may get one...

I can't see myself in most of those designs. I kinda wish some of the passed dA t-shirt contest designs could have been screened for possible inclusion in this list. A lot of those great designers left the site, but perhaps giving them some consideration would have been good for the competition and the site as well. A lot of designs look unprintable and lack a basic sense of design, what type of screening did these go through to be finalized?
