Audre at the deviantART Summit

$Waveswinger:iconWaveswinger: reports, May 9, 2005
~audre Vysniauskas, a full-time professional illustrator known just as ‘Audre’, is very likely one of the most accomplished women in the world of digital art.

Audre has always been an advocate of the use of computers in art and is extremely active in the digital arts community with her constant contributions to online communities, digital imaging conferences, conventions, and magazines. As the founder and manager of the digital art section in the Dragon*Con Art Show as well as the Director of Art Show Sales and Marketing, Audre is well known throughout all aspects of the art community.

She founded Attic Adventures and is one of the principals in The Attic, an online artist community. Other positions she has held are the Editor-In-Chief of Rederosity Magazine, course reviewer for Siggraph , and technical administrator for WizOp, one of the world's first ever online artist communities at CompuServe.com". Currently, she is working with Christian Seidler, founder of the Matricism art movement, helping traditionally trained artists embrace new technology and techniques.

Her past works include numerous book covers, interior book illustrations and illustrations for advertising as well being the co-author of "Digital Art for the 21st Century" .

Audre will be at the 2005 deviantART Summit to share with us her extensive knowledge on two seperate panels: ‘The Emergence of Fractal Art’ with Patrick Roberts and ‘Million Dollar Techniques without Investing a Fortune’.

Anyone who's read Renderosity Magazine or attends Siggraph or the Art Show at Dragon*Con knows Audre's work! But not everyone has had the opportunity to do so. Don't fret, it can take 20 years or more to become aquainted with most of the great artists out there. So be patient and give yourself some more time. :shamrock:

The nearest thing to an art resource via word over here (here meaning my shit'ole of a town) is a magazine called Creative Review, that only arrives once a month to show me what catastrophies seem to hit it big lately...

Never heard of her, but it's great to see some digital art representation. May I suggest you snag a vector artist to appear as well?

As usual, it's shaping up to be a great event.
