Honoring Man's Best Friend - The Dog!!

*ElwynEllessar:iconElwynEllessar: reports, September 1
They are our constant companions, dependent upon us to meet their needs, they lay at our feet, and stare adoringly into our eyes. They go on walks with us, play catch with us, swim with us, and sleep with us. Their love is unconditional and their loyalty knows no boundaries.

So what am I talking about? Why Man's best friend, of course - THE DOG!!

Renaissance Exhibit at the National Gallery

~sadeyes1980:iconsadeyes1980: reports, May 19, 2005
Ottawa, the Canadian capital, is celebrating its 125th year this summer. If that’s not enough to entice you to play tourist, then maybe another attraction might.

The National Gallery of Canada is proud to present Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and the Renaissance in Florence. The exhibit, which opens on May 29th and runs to September 5th, will showcase paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints created by the masters between 1500 and 1550. The Uffizi in Florence, the Louvre in Paris, and National Galleries in London and Washington have contributed works by del Sarto, Fiorentino and Bronzino, among others. The event will also serve to launch a drawing by Pontormo, which was recently acquired by the Gallery. This will be the first exhibition of its kind in Canada.

For more information on the National Gallery, and for ticket prices, please visit www.gallery.ca

I read the Da Vinci Code over the summer and it inspired me to Randomly take up History of Art as an AS Level subject and considering i actually didn't have any expections it's been great. The book got me alot more enthusiastic about Renaissance Art.
