Q How long have you been working in Digital Art?
Hmm, i think it has been about a year or so.I can't really remember but all i know that it hasn't been long since i first started.
Q I know you do a lot of both digital and traditional work, what do you feel is the value of doing both?
Well, for me, doing both shows the real capability of an artirts since not every artist can do traditional media and at the same time uses digital media to do their artwork. I feel that doing both makes you more versatile and experienced.
Q Do you have a favorite program which you use to draw/color your work with?
So far, my favorite has to be photoshop CS2 since it has so many features that is user friendly. I am currently trying Panter XII but i still need some time to adjust to it.
Q How would you define your style?
Haha, this is a little tricky. I'm not really good in defining things. Hmm, how do i define my style?Well, let's see.... my style is about trying to create something delicately beautiful and different every time.I try to create designs that resembles my fantasies and my mood at that point of time.
Q What do you feel is the most common misconception about what you do?
Quite a number of people once sent me emails and messages saying that i have altered the original anime style. They said that i don't color or draw the way the typical anime artist would usually do and i was not supposed to send my artworks under the anime category just because of this.
It's rather funny since my intentions were absolutely to be different from the typical fanartist or digital anime artist since i wanted to be myself and not just as a normal anime artist but as "norli" the anime artist.
Q How did you get started in digital art, and did you have a hard time with the traditional/digital crossover?
I started with digital art when my brother said i should try to learn how to use photoshop when i first set foot in university mid last year.As an architecture student, knowing how to use digital tools is a must and i wanted to try out something new.
At first, i thought doing digital art was harder than traditional but i soon found out that the "undo" and other commands makes life so much easier. So, overall, i guess that i did not have a hard time doing digital pieces. The only tough part maybe is that i had to practice really hard to know how to draw and color by using a mouse. I still can't afford to buy any tablet yet but i will try to get one someday.
I don't think i have much problem trying to produce traditional pieces too since i have been using tradtional media for quite some time. Infact, i think the real skill of an artist can be judge by how good they are at producing traditional works.
Q What has been your greatest challenge in digital art? Be it an image, program or a concept.
The greatest challenge in digital art has to be trying to master a program and working using mouse for coloring and drawing. I am a self learner and a slow one to be exact. I didn't really know much about how to use computers or programs so i guess i took a longer time to do anything.
Q What is it that drives you to create your work? Is it trying to get a message or point across? Trying to tell a story? The desire to just create?
The key that drives me to create my artworks is my passion for art and also my interest in trying to express my imaginations through drawing. Sometime, i kept creating artworks just to make me feel better and release all the tension life has given me.
Q Any tips, encouragement or warnings for up-and-coming digital artists?
For all those who upcoming artists, i hope you guys will keep creating artworks that is original to yourself and do not give up to find your own style!

One more smile I fake, and try my best to be glad.
One more smile does the maker make, because he knows I'm sad.
