Behind The Lens featuring =coxi

#photographers is proud to present the next part of the series of featured chats on the dAmn chat network in which deviantART users will have the opportunity to talk to some of the site's greatest photographical talents. The Behind the Lens series will allow you to question these great artists about their techniques and thoughts in relation to photography, their attitudes to process and how new advances might affect their work in future - plus give you the chance to submit many more of your questions and really get inside the working mindset behind those beautiful images.

As the title might suggest you will get access behind the lens and valuable insight into how the photographs are produced, so gaining better understanding of the images from a process point of view as well as having the very obvious sight of an amazing finished product. The Behind The Lens series continues on the 5th of June with the next photographer in the spotlight being =coxi.

=coxi has this to say about his photography:

'With a camera, you have the ability to isolate people, structures and other objects and details. It is possible to give something or someone spotlight that would normally go unnoticed in the general view.

A photo is finished the very moment you push the button and release the shutter. It is the moment between seeing a motif and hitting the button in which you have time to adjust composition, angle, perspective and focus. In archtiectual, landscape and studio photography this moment can take up to hours and in portrait, photojournalism and street photography it is often a qestion of seconds.

A photo rarely only depends on the motif itself (ie. a beautiful model); it's the use of the potential of a motif and the features of a camera and lens that gives the photographer scope to alter reality. This certain scope is what makes photography exciting and interesting for me.'
