#Jabber, which was one of the most active chats back when the deviantART Messaging Network first came into being, has recently undergone renovation. We are now proud to present to you all #Jabber v2!
To mark the room's relaunch with style, we're excited to announce our first ever featured chat, with %fangedfem and `snowmask, giving you, the dA community, the chance to talk to these two very talented artists.
Lesa, aka %fangedfem, deviant since December 2001, has held a number of positions on the site in her time here, including senior status, original member of the dAmn Army (now called the mn@) and is now a
Prints Admin as part of the Customer Service department. All the while, Lesa has continued to produce amazing multi-media artwork.
Katie, aka `snowmask, has been a deviantART member since September 2001. She is known for her stylish vector work, as well as photography and drawings, and notably for her Test Tube Baby creations, which many may have seen around the site.
Both guest speakers are very excited about this upcoming event, and looking forward to answering any questions you might have for them!
The chat will take place on Sunday 19th June at 6:30pm PST, 9:30pm EST in #Jabber. This will be a theatre-style event with a queue system, much like that of previous featured chats in official channels. The room will be set up for the chat 30 minutes before the start time, and the queue is first-come, first-served, so you will want to get there early to get your place in line and have your question typed up and ready to go.
There will also be prizes given out to attendees, who will be picked at random. All you need to do is attend the chat, and you stand the chance to win some great gifts! Prizes include a 1 year subscription (or prints account), two 3 months subscriptions, as well as signed prints from the artists themselves!
We're all very excited about this upcoming event, and look forward to seeing you there!
