Montreal, QC devMEET! July 5th and 6th 2005

`jnc:iconjnc: reports, June 23, 2005
Just under two weeks remain until the 2005 Montreal devMEET. People regularly flock to Montreal enjoy the seasonal jazz festivals, and we thought there could be no better time to hold a devMEET than in that period!

If you haven't stumbled upon #montrealMEET in dAmn, or you haven't been notified by one of our organisers (~chocolate-neko, *oompaloompasarecool and myself)via note, then you may not have been aware a meet was in the works.
Now we have enough information gathered to announce the event to the deviantART community as a whole. So here is what you'll need to know.

Various acitivites have been suggested for the days. On day one the general plan is to gather at the main gate near the McGill campus park, Downtown. We'll gather there and get to introduce ourselves. Then we'll head onto some areas of artistic interest, break for food, and check out the jazz scene in the evening..

On the second day we will meet at Palais de Congrés, Old Port. Following that, we'll head around the block to a coffee house and maybe see some new faces that weren't at the previous day's meet. Anything can happen from there.. It's up to you! We'll decide closer to the time.

Of course, it would be great if you can make both days, but if you can only make one or the other date, that's fine.
There is no upward limit to the amount of participants either, so feel free to bring friends along that might not be members of the deviantART community -- just let us know beforehand.
Also it's probably a god idea to note one of the organisers with a cell phone number you can be reached on in case you need to contacted at very late notice about any change of plans.

Expected deviants already include:

~chocolate-neko
*evilspoon
=flashtek
`jnc
`neom :neom:
*oompaloompasarecool
~psycho-kitty
=rnx
*True-RefleXion

and more!

:bulletred: What will I need?
Bring your camera, wear comfortable shoes and some money for refreshments and activities.

:bulletblue: Meet information:

Day 1: Tuesday 5th July, 2005 - McGill Campus Park Main Gate, 1100 local time.

Day 2: Wednesday 6th July, 2005 - Palais de Congrès Main Entrance, 1200 local time.

Keep updated! Visit #montrealMEET on dAmn and keep an eye on the front page for `neom's follow-up article closer to the date.

See you there!

I will have too much things on my hands to go to a devmeet

I just wish to every deviant to have fun, meet each other, make a panel, show your stuff, educate each other through the art you do, or just chill out and drink somethin.

Have fun ;)
