What is the #PhotoHelpDesk?

The Photography Help Desk chatroom is a welcoming chatroom for any deviant who needs help. Whether it is asking what film to use, how to make the background blurry, how to setup lighting or a basic darkroom at home; #PhotoHelpDesk is the place to come.
Many deviants don’t personally know people with a lot of knowledge or understanding in photography, not everybody has an art teacher at school, or a best friend who just happens to be a professional photographer. So when they have a question, a concern, or a simple interest in a new area; where can they turn to? Who will have to time to sit and chat and explain and teach? This is where the amazing people of #PhotoHelpDesk come in.


So who is the #PhotoHelpDesk?

*pinkcookie is the founder of the idea and the chatroom, and will be managing the project.
Although we are only into the first few days of the project, some amazing and talented deviants have shown interest in the chatroom.

Are there rules to #PhotoHelpDesk?

Well the idea of the #PhotoHelpDesk is a chatroom purely for asking questions. There are other chatrooms for photographers to chat and socialise such as #Photography and #Photographers. The rules of PhotoHelpDesk are very much like those of the deviantART official #Help chatroom.


Can I get involved with #PhotoHelpDesk?

We are currently looking for people who know a lot about film to help out with your wonderful knowledge. If you are interested please note *pinkcookie.

We are also looking for someone who knows how to install and program a dAmn bot. Any help would really be appreciated. Again, you can note *pinkcookie.


What do we see for the future of #PhotoHelpDesk?

We are planning on hopefully organising some featured chats with some of our deviantART photographers.
But most of all we just want to see the room grow and grow into the first place you think of going when you need a question answering.
