A myth can be defined as a form of traditional storytelling involving heroes, ancestors, deities, or other supernatural beings that play an essential role in the belief system of a people. Myths are passed down from one generation to the next and deal with various aspects of a culture, including customs, ideals, and societal norms. Throughout the history of the world, different lands have developed their own mythologies that in turn helped shape their societies.

In recognition of this influence, we at Neosynthesis have chosen Chronicle 17 to be a creative exploration of some of the many unique myths from across different time periods and corners of the globe.

Our Art Group members have utilized their distinct skills and techniques to continue the narrative tradition through inspired imagery within the mediums of photography, traditional, and digital art.
