The Burn-P0etry Newsletter

*
burn-p0etry is a rapidly-growing writers community for users all over deviantART, provided for both poetry and prose. We encourage all of our members to take part in our regular competitions and to submit poetry or prose to the Comments Corner. We also feature unknown writers and have a Poetry Thumbshare in the
chatroom every Saturday (see the journal for details).

We also release a regular web-based
Newsletter, which can be found here: http://www.freewebs.com/burnpoetry/
The newsletter includes several on-going articles, such as A Beginners Guide, featuring instalments that so far have included
Theme,
Imagery and
Meter; Poetic Forms for the traditionalists among us, with articles on forms such as the
Rondeau, the
Terza Rima and the lesser-known
Bref Double, and the Learn About
series: a selection of biographies on famous writers including
Sylvia Plath,
Edgar Allan Poe and
William Blake.

BP members are encouraged to submit articles or suggestions to the Newsletter, and we have had several very interesting items put forward, such as Poems in Translation and Poetry Round the World - Japan.

Burn-P0etryNEWS also offers a
Glossary of Literary Terms, which is updated with five new words in every edition. A
site- and
poet-of-the-moment is also given with each new instalment of the newsletter, to keep us all up to date with the literature resources that are available on the web, as well as great writers of all kinds of poetry or prose.

Archives are kept of past articles, so you can always go back to read something if you missed the release of that particular newsletter. A
Club Archive is also kept here, with competition results and related items. We also have our very own shoutbox!
There is a link beneath each article to add a comment, so once you have read something and feel you wish to contribute or ask a question you may do so on the page.

In short, the Burn-P0etry Newsletter hopes to give members of BP - and any other deviants interested in literature throughout devART - the chance to read
accessible,
available
articles
all
about
alliteration.
Sorry, wait - the chance to read articles that hopefully give a wide scope and variety of the literary world and offer advice, knowledge and understanding in writing and reading literature. We hope you enjoy. :]
