Our formal policy here at deviantART is to restrict print accounts to users over the age of 18 (That is, 18 and older ONLY). Reasons for this include that minors are unable to agree to binding contractual agreements (especially regards to licensing), we cannot send profit payments to minors, and we need to have this restriction to protect minors that may upload inappropriate photos for sale as prints.

We realize there are a number of underage print account users that have gotten past the system, and there are many more that really want to have a print account.

While we will maintain our policy and enforce it, we do allow parents and legal guardians to setup accounts in their name­ and let their children access the account and use it to sell their artwork. All profits payments will be made to the parent or guardian, and NOT to the minor.

As of April 30th, we will begin disabling all print accounts held by minors. There will be no refunds. To avoid disabling of a print account, the contact information and profits payment information must be updated to that of a parent or guardian and the user must email prints-changes@deviantart.com to notify us of the update and specifically state that the account is being used by a minor they are responsible for with their consent.

Basically, if the account is under a parent or guardian's name, and they are the ones receiving the profit payment, everything will be good to go.

Also, in the event that an account is disabled because they didn't update their information (as stated above), the account may be reinstated when they come of age.
