Even in times of war, the Soldier as an individual is of no consequence. The Soldier is a symbol, a simple pawn in a culture war. The Soldier is either a villain, or a Hero. The Soldier always serves for the honor of his country, not his paycheck. The Soldier is faithful, as there are 'no atheists in the trenches'. The Soldier is Combat Arms. The Soldier is male, he married a young white girl, and he has a baby on the way, whom he has never met.
The Soldier is a romantic ideal.

What is charity?
1 : benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity
2 a : generosity and helpfulness especially toward the needy or suffering; also : aid given to those in need b : an institution engaged in relief of the poor c : public provision for the relief of the needy
3 a : a gift for public benevolent purposes b : an institution (as a hospital) founded by such a gift.
A great reason to get involved with *ArtistsForCharity
*ArtistsForCharity is an account maintained by the senior members of deviantart. The goal of aFc is to sell artwork as prints with all the proceeds going to a selected charity. Both the artist and deviantarts profits are donated.
Updates:
1. We are happy to announce that so far we have raised $800.00 towards our first goal of $1000.00. When we reach our goal we will donate the money to UNICEF and start with a new charity as the recipient. We wish to thank all who have contributed in this so far. And we also would like to ask that others keep getting involved.By donating or supporting this project.
2. It has been brought to our attention that no longer can deviants under the age of 18 submit artwork to the account. This is in regards to dA policy that minors under the age of 18 can not have a print account. FAQ #613: How old do I have to be to sell my prints? This is very unfortunate but we hope everyone understands.
3. In other news we would like to take this time to welcome new project staff `karyaazure,*DarkMyth (a non senior who has been chosen to join as we expand and the workload increases and who has been very active in promoting this project since the start) and `equivoque whom will be starting very soon.
