We're always on the look out for extra things to help our users develop themselves artistically, and The Saatchi Gallery has a new resource we thought you'd like to hear about.
Your Gallery is a section of the Saatchi Gallery website devoted to artists from all over the world. Accounts are easy to set up and you can put up information about yourself, pictures of your art and contact details. All this will undoubtedly help to raise your profile in the art world.
The best thing is that this is all free! It doesn't cost anything to create an account, nor are there any fees down the line. I made a profile myself to investigate and it's nice and simple, if not with the sophistication of deviantART.
One cool aspect of the site is that it has attracted a lot of less 'techy' artists who hadn't previously had their work online. So you can take a look at some work which is very different from what you might see on deviantART or other art websites. Working mothers painting fruity nudes or abstract oil on canvas by creative plumbers are there to be seen.
We feel that Your Gallery is a nice complement to deviantART, and gives you, our users, a professional front associated with a major name in the high-art world. It's possible you could make your career from being seen on their site, so check it out.

In case you haven't heard of The Saatchi Gallery before, it's in London, and its owner, the art dealer Charles Saatchi, is seen as one of the foremost patrons of modern British art. Currently it's moving to a new site on the Kings Road in Chealsea, opening in 2007.
