After sorting through nearly 200 fantastic entries, The Trews have selected the winners of the deviantART poster design contest! The contest, celebrating the US release of the band's album Den of Thieves, had fans design promotional posters plugging the band while displaying their artistic abilities. Although the band would have been happy to pick dozens of winners, they did have to narrow it down.
The band was overwhelmed both by the effort put forth by all of the fans, and the amazing results. The entries ranged from the traditional to the abstract and everything in between.
The selected entries are as follows:
1st Place:
2nd Place:
3rd Place:
In addition to the first place prize of a Cybershot digital camera, all three of these posters will be featured on the main page at
TheTrewsMusic.com and will be used to promote select dates in the near future.
Den Of Thieves, released in the US on April 18, 2006 via SONY BMG/REDInk, is the second album by The Trews to go Gold in Canada. The album was produced by legendary Rock producer Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, The New York Dolls, John Lennon) and the first single "So She's Leaving" is impacting at Rock and Active Rock formats now.
Already known as road warriors north of the border, The Trews have applied their non-stop touring work ethic to the US as well. Having played over 40 dates in the US since April, the band is showing no signs of slowing down.
Check out The Trews at one of the upcoming US dates:
6/29/06 - Buffalo, NY - Thursdays in the Square w/54-40
7/18/06 - Los Angeles, CA - The Troubadour w/Will Hoge
7/19/06 - San Fransico, CA - Cafe Du Nord w/Will Hoge
The Trews would like to thank all of the artists who made the effort to submit their
excellent work.

I'm sorry, but weren't there any better entries? If not, then it doesn't say much about enthusiasm for the contest in the first place. C'mon, people, a free camera.

House: Wanna know what happened to the toilet?
Wilson: ...She'll be with you where you claim to not want her.
House: I smashed it with a sledgehammer.
Wilson: I think in some ancient cultures, that was actually considered a proposal of marriage.
