Dead Silence Movie Contest Winners

$lolly:iconlolly: reports, Mar 15, 2007
From the writer and director of the international phenomenon Saw comes an experience on the razor's edge of fear, Dead Silence. There is an old ghost story in the sleepy town of Ravens Fair about Mary Shaw, a ventriloquist who went mad. Accused of the murder of a young boy, she was hunted down by vengeful townspeople who cut out her tongue and killed her. They buried her along with her "children," a hand-made collection of vaudeville dolls.

Why Branding Isn't Bad

Special Announcement! Blocking And Hiding!

$lolly:iconlolly: reports, Aug 10, 2006
Special Announcement! Blocking And Hiding!

This just in! The hide comments feature that has been discussed along with the ability to block users form your page is now live and working!

Comment Hiding

On your own user page, if suzynasty comes around and says you are a poo poo head, you can now hide that comment. Look for a small “hide” link on any comment box on your user page, journal or artwork. This will not work on comments you make on someone else’s user page.

We recommend you use this to settle your own minor issues. For small cases now you can remove offensive, or what you view to be offensive statements off your own page which leave CEA and +helpdesk free to work with the community on larger issues.

If you feel someone is truly harassing or threatening you please report it in the normal manner.

User Blocking

If there is someone you really just don’t get along with, or for whatever reason you do not wish them to be able to comment on your work at all, you can now block up to 20 people from being able to comment on your art, journals and user page. Go to your Edit My Profile page then go to your User Page Display section and you will see a box for blocked users. Add them one line at a time, and also if you, say you get in an argument with someone and your only mad at them for a day or so, you can go back and simply remove that name.

Again, if you feel someone is really, truly harassing you report it.

Overall we feel these changes will bring you a lot more control of your own environment and allow you to resolve things of your own accord.

Any chance of this building up a reputation, which would then lead to (after enough hides/blocks) the helpdesk looking into that deviant automaticly?

hmm... when this very proposed I was under the impression that people visiting a page would be able to unhide the comments if they really wanted to see what was hidden... apparently this is not the case...
I was a bigger fan of that system... so the offending comment was not purged... but just 'hidden' from the casual observer and it wasn't something that immediately showed up on someone's page.
not so happy.

That is still under consideration actually :)
