dA is the widest and most popular Cyber Gallery. dA is the best place to expoze your creations, to get recognition, to discover other's art. And for many other reasons you may be happy to be a Deviant. Therefore dA have bugs... Then read this...
~alcheme posted an amazing article about this here, this is merely a follow up article to feature all of the volunteered works, and share the facts again.
Just getting into BJD, but have no idea where to start shopping? A vetran and tired of telling 1000 people that you got your hydrangea from 4D? Here's a little linksource to cure your woes. Not every company/wig manufacturer/eye manufacturer is listed here, but it's a good place to start.

If your art is not getting much attention, or people's attention are drawn to details that shouldn't be the first things to notice, you might reconsider your thoughts about colours.
The news system and voting system attached to it, they influence the hot topics (or at least the bold ones) in your message centre. I actually liked the way of v4, where dA staff picked which get listed bold. I think this should be brought back, either as a preference, or standard. Because now the message centre news list is filled with crap, just like this post :/
they MADE it this way?! I thought it was a bug! omg... it's now like an out of control forum that makes me want to cry alot.

There is alot of crap showing up, but without this news I never would have found out about *workgroups . I think this was a good idea in theory, and there are some useful articles. It just needs moderation, and it needs it NOW.
Actually, this IS a bug. Pariatially at least. Regular users aren't supposed to be able to post hot topics, and I don't think they're supposed to be able to post announcements either. Last I checked, $lolly is working on fixing it.
...is it just me, or can only subscribers post hot topics?
It is supposed to be like digg. Where users can post relevant art-related news, that others may have missed. In theory it is a fantastic thing. It is only a "piece of crap" because the users posting "news" are a bunch of spamming asshats.
The news system may not work how everyone wants it to, but the ban system still works. Eventually, the newness will fade, the shit get voted down, and it won't be fun any longer. Then we'll see some real news.
It would also help, if peopel would quit commenting on stuff like the spam (and incidentally, this 'article', which is more appropriate for a journal, or a forum discussion. It certainly is not news).
Furthermore, they are more than likely going to disable Hot Topic as an optin in the post process.

`arcipello's artwork is instantly recognisable. His vibrant colours and sci-fi scenes are breathtaking at times, pulling you into a world where man and machine live in colourful harmony.
An inspiration to many, Daniel's dedication to his craft is evident throughout his gallery, with many of his beautiful prints hanging on walls across the globe. In recognition as being one of the most successful artists in our deviantART community, we're delighted to award this month's Deviousness Award to `arcipelloRead More
