reports, August 12, 2006Fantasy - Imagery that is more or less coherent, as in dreams and daydreams, yet unrestricted by reality.
Surreal - Having an oddly dream-like quality.
Fantasy and surreal - two very popular styles of art. Certainly my two favorites, especially with photomanipulations! So much stuff of these styles gets submitted, though!
So what I will do is try to bring to light some of the gems that have recently been submitted to the photomanipulation galleries that are either fantasy, surrealism, or both. Not everything here is actually from those two categories, but they all contains elements of the fantastic or the surreal. Give these pieces a look, they're well worth it! Who knows, maybe you'll find something you like.
