reports, August 13, 2006"According to rumours circling the Internet; Ex Archie Writer and Artist, Ken Penders, had been in discussions with the Board room of Sega of America about his ideas to revive the SatAm Franchise as a movie. He came away victorious as Sega probably gave him the nod to it.
The idea of it has come under critcism due to the fact that Ken Penders wishes to the Movie to be live action and be of epic proportions like the Lord of the Rings. It is unclear at this stage if characters like Robotnik and Snivley will be played by real people and the rest of the cast like Sonic and Sally will be done using CGI.
The only obstacle that Penders has left to overcome is convincing Sega of Japan as Sonic X is popular in the Western world and it may have a conflict of interests."
