Hey guys, we're back!
Before we start the third edition of the RoundUP, we'd like to mention a few things.
deviantART v5 has brought about a plethora of changes, and many of us have very mixed feelings about them. The new News format is one of the most obvious changes, and it's perhaps the most debated...
However, instead of ranting and raving for either side of the news system, I'd like to point you to two important articles:
-
News! News?!? NEWS!!!!!: $
lolly's introduction to the new News system, and we hope you all read this and take it to heart because this system
will only be as good as we make it. And it could definitely be very beneficial to the site if we can all utilize it with a bit of maturity and thoughtfulness.
-
dA News System: $
dionyziz's introduction to the news system. Also a good read.
Also, you may have noticed the new account and the references to 'we'... well, that's because with the new system, there's going to be some changes!
The RoundUP will be centralized around *
roundUP, where you can direct questions and let us know if you have any questions or suggestions. And there'll be three of us working on bi-weekly articles! The team consists of deviants `
bellchild, =
Nex9k9, and =
lazybutt, and we'll be scouring the news all the time looking for new, relevant, interesting articles throughout the whole of deviantART.
Again, the
Help and FAQ entries will be kept and built upon at the bottom so you have easy linkage, and articles with mature content will be labelled with a
MC tag.
And the header contest is
still going... Read
this for more information!
With that, let's get to the news!
