reports, August 22, 2006To make it worse - many people who've recently received Daily Deviations for quality stock photos have been abused by deviants who claim that 'DAs standards have droped for DDs....' and after spamming the stock artists page with arogant rudness ask 'and whats stock btw?'.....
Stock art is for people to cut away from its background and use in digital-manipulations - to make art with themselves, it is not meant to be seen as art in a 'showcase' sense - its there to help people find resources to be creative with ....
It'd be really great and appreciated if people would understand this before critisising it....

If not why I would want to do a manipulation with a lesser quality photo? kinda of a contradiction...
ok an explanation outside DA stock photography is used when companies as an example a store cant hire a photographer to take photos of products and they need photos of people with some fancy but generic clothes for their website, they can buy photos of models using generic clothes, or doing generic stuff (kinda those bank brochures photos) those photos arent less artistic or of less quality, they are more generic to fit different needs.
So stock needs to be artistic, as artistic as any other branch of photography in order to be more attractive. [link]
Now I agree that people shouldnt be spamming those people who received DD´s for their stock it is against the rules!
