I Am A Child

reports, 1d 15h agoMy little girl is so magical. With a smile she can brighten my world. The glow in her eyes when she tells one of her stories melts away all of the day's problems and concerns. For me, having a child and being able to participate in her life, watch her grow and absorb the wonders of the world, completes me as a human being.
For my latest journal feature I am presenting a visual essay on children -- works by DA artists that beg to ask the question, "Is there anything more pure, more magical than a child?" Breaking up the photos are lyrics from Neil Young's brilliant song about children, "I Am A Child." If you want to listen to Neil's song while viewing the essay, right click on [link]

reports, September 3, 2006Photographing People is a monthly feature, that does exactly what it says on the tin - concentrates on showcasing photography featuring people. The pictures are divided into three different style categories, namely portraiture, fashion, and conceptual. These definitions are treated quite loosely though, and what ends up in which section depends on the mood and look of the piece, regardless of which DA category the work is submitted in. Every month I'll also try to bring you at least one interesting Feature of the month submission, which might be a good tutorial or an exceptionally interesting article, or even just a brilliant photograph, which deserves its own special spotlight. So, without further ado, here's this month’s edition of Photographing People. Enjoy!
