Darksiders: Your Last Days Contest - Create a piece of artwork in any visual medium depicting a creative and personal interpretation of the last days of Earth during an ‘apocalypse’ and earn a chance to win amazing prizes!
i want to start some kind of tribute kind of thing for Steve Irwin, who as you probably are aware of passed away not too long ago. what i want to do is try to get as many people to enter a piece of art, anything is fine, and send it all to his wife and kids or perhaps just create a gallary in his honor. i guess it could be a sort of contest maybe but there would be no prizes or winners, its all for Steve! the theme will be "What Steve Irwin means to you". entries can be conventional art, comics, computer art, animations, or even movie clips and poetry. They dont have to be good, and you dont need to have any talent at all. Its the thought that counts. PM me to enter.
he is my idol, and i cried and cried when i heard...but he did what he loved most all the way to the end. i dont think he could have gone in a better way. i just want to do something to show that the world will miss him, and i think this is a great way to do just that.
This is a very sweet idea. Here are some links that might help with the contest/gallery:

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
