Free V6 Help

reports, July 11Okay so if you haven't noticed V6 was launched late last night/early morning (depending on your time zone) to mixed reviews.
We as admins have had a little more time with it than the rest of the masses and as such I thought I would volunteer my knowledge with whomever is interested. Rather than complain that everything is different perhaps I can help show you how much more user friendly and easier the site is to navigate.
So... if you have a question concerning V6 please ask it. If you know of someone who is having troubles, please link them here. I will be updating this journal with your questions and hopefully answers to said questions.

With the advent of the user posted news system there is one issue we would like to mention pertaining to copyright protected news articles. The short is, they are not permissible. You can take a news story from somewhere else and summarize it and then add a link back to the original article and this is fine.
But if you copy and paste the article in full with no link back to the original this is a no no and will result in a warning. If warnings do not help then a short term suspension will occur unfortunately. We should never see full copies of a news article and especially never be seeing the original copyright at the bottom. And besides, is this really you reporting news or simply taking someone else’s work and hitting ctrl+c followed by ctrl+v? Think of a news article in terms of artwork. Would you want someone swiping your art and putting it up elsewhere in this manner?
