The Best of August Visual Art!

`karemelancholia:iconkaremelancholia: reports, 6h 7m ago
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!

Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it!
Fave Fave Fave!
My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations.
Artists need to be supported.
So don't be shy!

Here's the Menu per Category :

Digital Paintings & Drawings | Mixed Media | PhotoManipulations | 3-Dimensional | Vector & Vexels | Photography | Traditional Paintings & Drawings | Artisan Crafts

Free art stuff to DL!

~G-Young:iconG-Young: reports, September 8, 2006
Hello Everyone!

I promise you this isnt spam I don't have time to spam trust me.

I heard about an interesting site called [link], and I just wanted to let you know about some of the cool free things you can pick up there.

If you’re looking for an easier way to accurately budget projects, they have some forms. The best part is they are all free!! The site has a collection of 29 forms and budgets posted. No worries about not having the right program to open them with, they come in numerous formats.

Like, XLS (Microsoft Excel), WB3 (Corel QuattroPro) and PDF (Adobe Acrobat) formats. The XLS and WB3 formats include equations to automatically total as you go. The graphics forms are available in AI (Adobe Illustrator), CDR (CorelDRAW), PDF and JPG formats.

A couple of examples of some of the forms are, Animation Budgets, Art Direction Budgets, Set Budgets, Scenic Budgets, Project Tracking, Client Approvals, Bid Forms, Storyboard Forms, Audio Recording, Mileage, Petty Cash, Runner Forms, Props List, Dressing List, and even Dope Sheets!!
Plus a lot more.

If budget forms aren’t your thing they also have some podcast interviews with the top people in many areas of the creative arts, a couple of animated shorts, and an awesome Facial Expression book I use quiet often.

Hope you check it out!!

Sounds very useful. Thank you for posting this. Now if they had budget forms that automatically bring money in... ;-P

Sorry... two things bother me here about this:

First of all the title of the news post, "Free" (not all is free) but ok it's got free; "Art Stuff" (forms aren't exactly what i would think about when somebody says art) but that's ok because maybe, just maybe somebody finds them useful to do some work around art stuff; and lastly "to DL" (translated to download, right?) maybe telling to send to your mail is better, no?... so i find at best the title a little misleading. How about "Useful Resources to deal with Forms and Budgets for Art People"...

Second, it bothers me that you swear that this is not spam but then upon reading a link at the site i find the following:

"You may receive promotional e-mails from Your Resume Sucks! and her sister companies, from which you may opt out at any time".

Being that to download i have to submit personal info (like my career, my name and my email) and i will be receiving emails from other companies.... hmmm that makes me suspect that maybe i will receive some more emails i do not want (like spam)...

I may be wrong, i mean you might have meant right or they do not spam, so if indeed that is the case please let us all know at the reply of this comment... thanks

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to mislead anyone :( I don't work for the site so i'm not really sure what they do when you get there, I only meant I wansn't trying to spam the news board XD.

I just copied and pasted some of the information from the site, so I wouldnt mistype it @.@

Again I apologize, Your name is a lot more suiting!! I only wish I would have thought of it first :D

I do hope some people got use out of anything one the site though, that was my purpose for posting the news letter to begin with, just to help other people out.

I hope I explained myself :( if not, I apologize again.

cool! no worries there, i'm just pointing it out because i thought at first you were somewhat related to the site (i now know you don't) and second because i just hate when people are deceived to click on ads when they are shown as something they are not...
