Each week we will explore a category of world of Stock Photography. Here on DeviantART stock can be used in photomanipulations, references, and lit previews. So let's take a moment to support our good stock!
This week's feature:
Waterfalls
These weeks stock theme is something close to my heart. I love photos of waterfalls. So peaceful, so serene. Perfect for backgrounds in photo manipulations, or just a beautiful preview image for a lit piece! First lets take a peak at how some of DAs waterfalls (and some from other websites) have been used in the past. Hopefully you can draw inspiration and continue to use waterfall stock in the future!
And you cant get by without a photomanip of two Jedis dueling on a waterfall hahaha
The trouble with shooting waterfall stocks, is trying to achieve the perfect look. Do you want to capture the water in a crisp clear way? Or do you want a longer shutter speed, so that the water looks soft and flowing? When shooting the latter, sometimes you have trouble keeping other things crisp and in focus, unless youve remembered your handy dandy tri-pod. Have you always wondered how to achieve this water effect? Take a peak at this awesome downloadable PDF tutorial by our very own =

The Water Trick
Now onto lots of waterfalls just waiting for you to do something with them!
Just remember kids, if you use these, please provide proper credits and link-backs in your description. It really isnt that hard!
Also, if you don't like the stock, please don't leave nasty remarks on the person's stock photo. Instead, you can talk to these people about it. Thanks

But why is the verbiage about proper credit in tiny super-/sub-script? Given the history of folks work on this site, that text should be in larger font. Say 98 pitch?
