Always have room on my desk for this classic. The color and simplicity of this wall is what sets it apart. Detailed with out being distracting, emotional without being preachy. Overall great work, where did this guy go?

Calm and refreshing. Very clean sharp lines with light tones makes this easy on the eyes. For all you minimal freaks, this would work perfect with a flat white, lightblue, or light grey visualstyle.

This has been a fav of mine for a long long time. This shows a grasp on style and color that's hard to find. A good example of how minimal can still carry a message.

Grunge in all it's dirty glory. This makes a great wall mainly because of it's dark tones but also because of its attention to blended detail.

It's just crazy enough to work. Love the use of shape and color in this one. Also love how the minimal shapes lend to the chaos of it all.

One of the first wallpapers I've laid my eyes on when I first joined DA. And it's still one of my faves. Sure, maybe after two years the technique used doesn't look that nice anylonger, but it's still a moody, mystic wallpaper, with plenty of room for your icons ![]()
Then there's the collab between `tigaer and `alyn ...everyone knows artificial
And call me insane, but what I enjoy the most at this piece is the space part ![]()
And then there's the good old technical style, which unfortunately gone missing for more than one year....I really don't know why people don't make technicals any longer
Anyway this is one of the many such rare jewels you will find here.
And let's not forget this stylish abstract that would go hand in hand with any light or silver theme you will use for your OS
Last but not least, an oldie but goldie. Excellent sci-fi mood, even for nowadays and plenty of room for your icons ![]()

This image is so endearing. It has a very whimsical feel and it's sentiment hits you right in the gut. (pun intended!) If you haven't had this feeling before, this piece is sure to make you wonder what it's all about. Aside from the adorably hilarious depiction, the technical aspect of this is really astounding. Check out the details for yourself!
The art of *sideshowmonkey is really amazing, which is why he gets paid to do it! This has always been one of my favorite wallpapers because it has such great detail in the drawing but doesn't distract from your icons. It's bold, incredibly well done and deviously fun!
I can't pick favorite wallpapers without including one that features the beautiful curves of a woman. This piece has such elegant movement and seems playful but still has a hint of "alien" about it, in my opinion. Her pose is amazing, the lighting is stunning and the quality of the image is top notch. Most of the wallpapers I like are of darker tones and this, to me, is just right. The white of the fabric is a complimentary but non-distracting accent to the overall piece.
You could honestly throw a dart in this artist's wallpaper gallery and pick a winner every time. I've admired this image for it's beautiful crafting and alluring sense of peacefulness. The tones and textures are mellow and really compliment the feel of the composition. This dreamy piece is a must have, in my book.
As a lover of black and white imagery as well as fractal art, this combination of depth and light really grabbed my attention. The gradated color scheme builds up to a 3D projection that gives the piece focus without overpowering the left side... giving the icons a preferred display space.

I fell in love with this wallpaper the moment I saw it (over two years ago!). Now, I know what you're thinking, "Gah, she's just another crazed fan!" Well, that's not the case. This wallpaper brings fanart to another level and I'm pretty sure most of you will agree with me. Plus, there's ample space for your icons as well. Perhaps you could place some interesting icons for InuYasha to look at on the right side? ![]()

Many people gush over highly detailed wallpapers. How could you ever see your icons through all of the razzle and dazzle of the wallpaper? Sometimes, you just need to give your eyes a break and head for a great, simple wallpaper... and this is one of those, especially with the calming colors.

Besides having a great vector base, this wallpaper is accentuated with nice grunge brushwork on top. That, along with the typography reminds me of the "Wanted" posters of the Old West. Definately a wallpaper for fans of that era.

Just for the records, the cuteness factor was NOT the only reason behind me choosing this piece.
The colors and bold outlines are very easy on the eyes and that expression just screams, "Hey... what are you doing in my space?" Did I mention that it's cute??

I immediately liked this wallpaper from the thumbnail and I liked it even more after I full viewed it. The limited color scheme and use of negative space are genius. Also, that is a deliciously evil expression to look at while your computer loads.

Trust me on this one. It's pretty hard to work up the strength to say anything when there's a gun pointed at your face. But your mind, on the other hand, is overwhelmed with query. "Who the hell is this guy? What did I do to end up in this position? Am I going to die? What can I do to get myself out of this? Did I unplug the iron?" Then suddenly, you awake. The keyboard imprint on your face, and fresh drool on the desk give it away. Luckily, it was merely a dream, but that kickass wallpaper on your monitor is very real. I dig this guy's style. An excellent wallpaper by *maxon.
Strange, it only seems like a few years since I was last here. Time seems to have eroded this place in the worst way. Seedy characters on the street corner, bastard children roaming the alleyways, and the stench of garbage filling the air. I tell the driver to "GO!" as I roll up the tinted window, and flip open my laptop. Good thing I've got "lovers seduction" by =starfantazy set as my wallpaper. It has already taken me to a happier place.
The desert can be an interesting place. Especially when you've been wandering, alone, for days on end. Without water, or food, the body begins to shift into survival mode. With most critical bodily functions struggling to operate, the mind slips in and out of reality. The vivid colors, flashes of light, and ugly green slug-things can't possibly be real, can they? "NO!! They're not real. Lay off the drugs, and get the f*#k off my couch!!" Seriously though, this is a very cool, colorful, somewhat minimalistic, widescreen wallpaper by *su-e.
Johnny was a bit older than me. He loved sheep. I remember one time he was saying something like, "I love sheep. I mean, I really love sheep. They're so soft and cuddly. I love to run my hands through their fleece on cool spring mornings. It's actually very soothing, and slightly erotic." It was about this time that, out of the corner of my eye, I see Grandpa come hobbling out of the barn, shotgun raised high, yelling "GET AWAY FROM MY DAG'GUM SHEEPS. SHEEP F*#KERS!!" Ah, the fond childhood memories come flowing back to me every time I see this wonderfully done wallpaper by =markocavka.
Man, I'd really like to be able to fly. Not in a helicopter or hang-glider, but like a butterfly, or even a bumblebee. That'd be awesome. Everything else could stay the same. Only now, I could wake up, fly into work, bypassing the horrendous traffic, work all day, then fly back home. And if I just happened to fly over Rosie O'Donnell's convertible, and I just happened to have a bag of flaming dog poo with me, I'd so drop that bag of flaming dog poo right in her lap. It looks to me like the little guy in this wallpaper really wants to fly too. Though I'm not sure that he'd be able to carry of bag of flaming dog poo.. No matter, just one of many amazing images in ~evilhomer145's gallery.

Controlled energy... that is the feeling given to me by this artwork... It almost feels to me like something is trying to break out, to expand, to go out of control, but it can't.

What makes this piece of artwork different from others of its kind is the soft pallette of colors that takes the sharp edge off of the forms..It has energy contained within, but gives off a peaceful feeling at he same time.. I could look at it for hours..

What can I say except that it makes me laugh.. An excellent vector piece, yet it has a comedic element that cracks you up.. The choice of colors makes it easy on the eyes. I just love it!

Love and loss, heaven and hell, depression and happiness... it represents some of the most elemental feelings, something all of us can relate to.You can't go thru life without experiencing at least one heartbreak of one kind or another, yet I see hope in the wings...

A beautiful fantasy wallpaper. I can see wonderful emotions in this face. Mischief, wonder, curiosity, an invitation to partake in the fantasy of her world....
