Google went walkabout. Brought back Google Wave.

`thespook:iconthespook: reports, May 29
"Google Wave is a new tool for communication and collaboration on the web, coming later this year."

It takes email and IM, and turns it into the sort of communication tools we've become used to on deviantart, and way more. The video demonstration (found at the end of the post) is nearly an hour and a half long, but it'll blow your mind.

Do The Windows Wubi Wubi Woo

~Twarrior:iconTwarrior: reports, 2d 17h ago
Most of you Windows Users out there have heard of Linux, have heard how great it is, are glad you don't have to spend tons of money on a MAC to be rid of the Microsoft Plagues -- BUT -- you have some natural apprehension towards Linux, as well as some valid questions about it. Well, lucky for you that all of the stigma behind its supposed "over complexness" is pure myth. This comes from a time many, many years ago when it was more complex and no one was familiar with it. But that was then and this is now.

Apple iPod - New Models + iTunes 7

¢elusive:iconelusive: reports, September 13, 2006
Well, where to begin. Today is the launch of a new series of things from Apple Computers. First off, iTunes 7 is released, featuring a new GUI, features, and some other nifty things you'll probably like.

As well as that, firmware updates are available on most (if not all iPods), AND, a new announcement from Apple:

The iPod Nano now comes in 5 different colours! (Black/Silver/Pink/Blue/Green). Also, not to mention the changes in look, they also offer up to 8GB in storage compacity. They look a bit different than the original, so be sure to check it out: [link]

Next on the list, the iPod Shuffle, no more is the gum-stick design, it's now roughly the size of a dollar coin, and comes with an included USB dock, and is made out of an aluminum casing. Also will be (in the future, so the rumour is) coming in larger format sizes. Shipping in october is the new iPod Shuffle: [link]

Next on the list, the iPod now plays full length movies. Not sure if this was available before, but the iPod now comes with an 80GB compacity, and has some new features to go with it. Check them out here: [link]

So if you're an Apple fan (and i'm sure there is a few of you out there) looking for some insight on what's the latest at Apple, feel free to check it out.

After using iTunes 7 now for a few hours, I can say it's a worthy update, and features some interesting new things (new view features offer dynamic 3D album scrolling with album cover art for example).

Check it out today.

Same problem in every browser.
¢elusive:iconelusive: Sep 13, 2006, 5:14:46 PM
I noticed iTunes 7 might have some memory issues, i'm having problems with it skipping and stuff WAY more than 6 ever did. I had to allocate higher system priority to fend it off, and that's only a temporary solution.
