The Collective
There are a lot of artists/art thats overlooked on dA. I will be posting a different subject every few weeks to bring some exposure to different artists, cameras, genre's etc.
The Holga
The Holga is a very inexpensive, medium format box camera appreciated for its low-fidelity aesthetic. The Holga originated in Hong Kong in 1982, and used 120 film, the most widely available film in China at that time. The camera was originally intended to provide an inexpensive mass-market camera for working-class Chinese in order to record family portraits and events. The Holga's cheap construction, combined with poor quality materials and simple meniscus lens often yields pictures that display vignetting, blur, light leaks, and other distortions.
I hope you enjoy this collection of Holga photos as much as I did.
I never question what to do, it tells me what to do. The photographs make themselves with my help. ~Ruth Bernhard

A great holga photographer that I came across not too long ago is ~
Mosquitolo. His work ranges from documentary to nature to conceptual presenting some of the many different possibilities that can be achieved with a holga camera.

I'd turn gay for @Vlei.
Also, thanks for informing us about the Holga. I had never heard of it before.
