CSS or no CSS there is always the chance for DA to be turned into a community like Myspace - but not yet and I dont think it would really be allowed to get to that stage.
I just see it the new abillity of css for those subs as more fun to add life for our journals.
I think people read far too much into the new changes here. At the end of the DA the technology for DA to be here costs money and it has to be paid for somehow and if CSS is going to add to more subscribers (and it doesnt get abused) then why not allow it.

Everybody can make a photo,
off themself in the mirror, but that doesnt make it an art.
Of corse the opinions on what is art and what not are different.
But people should draw a line between myspace and deviantart.
Next thing you know people are 'whore my pic bitch' around here.
