Now it's time for the April 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Run by =karemelancholia since 1 year & 4 monthes.Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it!
Fave Fave Fave!
My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations.
Artists need to be supported.
So don't be shy!
You can see the previous features here, in the Index i've created! Here's the Menu per Category :
Digital Paintings & Drawings | Mixed Media | PhotoManipulations | 3-Dimensional | Vector & Vexels | Traditional Paintings & Drawings | Photography | Artisan Crafts
Devious Comments
This is less than a journal entry, I must say. Whenever I am looking at news articles that talk about clubs, I want to see more than a link to the club and a sentence that might go along the lines of, "Awesome club!" or "Please visit!". Those make it sound like you're begging someone to visit. Those will not help the club get noticed. Here are some things that I would suggest ya do if you want an effective club-based news article.
Well, first of all, start of the news article with an introduction to who you are, and what you do for the club (whether you be a dedicated member, or a "staff" member). After you have properly introduced yourself, you should then introduce the club telling the readers what it is about this club that attracted you to it, or in the case you "work" for the club, why it is you enjoy your position. You could then go on to tell what it is the club is about, and what you do to keep it up and running (ie. games, contests, community projects, etc.)
To move along smoothly, I would then show a few links to the journals that the club has made. These would usually contain "How to join the club." and "Rules of the club", etc.
A formal ending would be in order that says you would be looking forward to seeing any suggestions people might have about the club, and offer open questions in the news article comments.
I hope this helped ya out.
