`ArtistsForCharity and deviantART invite you to the winter postcard and mug contest!

`ArtistsForCharity is an account maintained by the senior members of deviantART. Our goal is to sell artwork as prints with all the proceeds going to a selected charity. Both the artist's and deviantART's profits are donated to the charity. The currently supported charity is Habitat for Humanity. A detailed FAQ of `ArtistsForCharity can be

CONTEST INFO

The theme for the cards is winter and Christmas.

Christmas is a time for giving. This year, we want to give you the chance to send gorgeous postcards and mugs to your friends and family, meanwhile supporting charity with each card.

We invite you, the deviant, to the challenge of creating the postcards and mugs!

You can participate whether you are a photographer, digital or traditional artist, or a poet. Show the world how you can help others by being creative.

There will be winners in each category: literature, photography, digital art and traditional art. The winning entries will be added as prints to `ArtistsForCharity's gallery and sold as postcards and mugs, with the profits going to the selected charity. Each product will include one of the winning entries.

CONTEST RULES

Deadline: The contest will run from today until November 1st at 12 midnight PST.
One entry per deviant per category. You can enter four times but only once in each

category.
How to enter: Submit your entry to the Contest Gallery . Include lit / dig / pho /

tra after the title.

Digital artists, photographers and traditional artists

Your entry is the visual look of the postcard.

How you portray the theme is entirely up to you - use it loosely and be creative. Be deviant.

Your entry must be in postcard size. You can find helpful information about size and resolution from the dA FAQ.

Photography submissions will be judged by: ^Ghouldaddy, `sodalicious, `imogene,

Digital art submissions will be judged by: `karyaazure, `cosmosue, `DarkMyth, and

`madnessism
Traditional art submissions will be judged by: ^zeruch and ^alchemism


Writers

Your entry is a poem that will be added to a mug with
`ArtistsForCharity colours and theme.

It must be a short poem of no more than 5 lines.
Make your poem stand out; we are not looking for a Hallmark card. No need to spend time on an artistic

presentation of the poem - it will be judged on the writing alone.

PRIZES

Prizes are given in each category: literature, digital art, traditional art and photography.

1st in each category will receive a 1 year subscription and a print up to 25 dollars
2nd in each cateogry will receive a 6 month subscription and a 15 dollar print
3rd in each cateogry will receive a 6 month subscription
